Abstract: Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Central Committee led by Xi Jinping has made a
series of important statements on why we should enhance cultural construction and how to build a culturally strong socialist country.
The main contents include: firmly grasping the guiding position of socialist ideology in the cultural field; attaching importance to
ideological and moral construction, cultivating and practicing the core values of socialism; inheriting and carrying forward the excellent
traditional Chinese culture, and promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional culture; adhering to
the principle of serving the people and socialism, respecting the laws of literature and art, prospering and developing socialist literature
and art; vigorously developing and prospering socialist cultural undertakings and cultural industries. These important thoughts have
become the fundamental guiding ideology for us to promote the great development and prosperity of socialist culture.
